Nov 6 2025 9am-10am EST / 10pm-11pm SGT. Jerry Neumann joins Commoncog members to talk about his latest essay ”AI Will Not Make You Rich”.

I'm pleased to announce a special Commoncog members-only Q&A with Jerry Neumann.

Jerry is a retired VC who most recently published a remarkable essay on our current AI moment titled AI Will Not Make You Rich. We've been talking about his ideas a fair bit in the members forums: I spent some time during my paternity leave synthesising and then writing a summary of the framework Jerry used, which you may find here.

Jerry reached out a few weeks ago asking for a copy of that writeup. I turned the post into a PDF and sent it to him, and asked if he would be open to doing a Q&A with Commoncog members.

Jerry has kindly agreed to do so.

    Details:

    • Thursday, 6 November 2025, 8am-9am Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5) / 9pm-10pm Singapore Time (UTC+8). Timezone visualisation here.
    • Meeting agenda: I’ll open with two questions, and then I’ll cede the floor to Jerry and play host/moderator.
    • Note: we’ll start on time, and I’ll open the meeting 15 minutes before. So feel free to come in and hang out before we begin.
    • Also — it’s probably a good idea to read Jerry’s essays first — either his Colossus piece, or his many articles on venture investing, strategy, and uncertainty over at https://reactionwheel.net/

The Q&A is members-only, and will be recorded so you can watch it even if you can’t make it. I’d like to request that you keep the recording private to members only!
